I have played (3) games with the Polara, and as it states, it helps correct hooks/slices. In my case it is a wicked slice, and when I connect well with the ball it travels much further than if I was hitting a conventional golf ball with a poor swing.
One very notable difference in my game is on my second shot off the fairway with a 3 or 5 wood. The ball travels much, much further than it normally would. I also do not realign the ball as it states to do by pointing the arrow towards the flag. The ball just seems to straighten itself out after being struck well.
I have noticed with some of my lower irons that it travels a good distance, but just seems to lose lift and drop abruptly though. Never have I seen it fly off in some other direction though, as someone else stated, by not realigning it.
The ball has a harder feel to it, so I have had to adjust my short game a little, and swing slower and with less power to adjust. This is not bad though, and has been much easier to correct than my slice with the driver.
If you can hit a conventional golf ball straight and far, good for you. If you want to hit straight and have fun on the course with your buddies and enjoy the day with less frustration, try the Polara. I have also not lost a single ball in three 18 hole games, so it is saving me some money too!
